How to apply an action to multiple images using scripts?

In this tutorial in Photoshop CS5, we will see how to apply a predefined action to an image sequence. I would like to apply a contrast effect on a series of 50 images. I have two options before me. The first would be to change one by one all the images in Photoshop and it would take me about an hour. Or the second option, using a predefined action (which has been created) and it creates a script that will apply to my 50 pictures. This kind of script is very useful in achieving time-lapse photography. In time-lapse, it takes hundreds of photographs that are to be modified at will. It would be unthinkable to alter these photos one at a time. This is where the script comes in!

Software: Photoshop CS5
Skill Level: Intermediate
Time of tutorial: approx 10-20 min.
